Phillip Hickman – Non-Executive Chairman

Phil was appointed in November 2010. Phil had a 32 year career with HSBC, where he held various roles including Managing Director (Europe) for HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management. Phil is a Non-Executive Director of Alfa Bank Holdings SA in Russia, and serves on the board of a number of other companies.

Hank Uberoi – Executive Director

Hank was appointed in February 2010. Hank is also Managing Director of HU Investments LLC, an investor in private and public companies globally. He is a Director of several private companies and organisations around the world. Until April 2004 he was the Chief Operating Officer at Citadel Investment Group. Hank previously spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as a partner and co-Chief Operating Officer of the Technology Division. He graduated from Williams College, Massachusetts with a BA, Magna Cum Laude.

Zafarullah Karim – Chief Financial Officer

Zafar was appointed in December 2009, having joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer earlier that year. Zafar has over two decades of experience in the financial industry, focusing on financial strategy and risk management. From 1994 to 2002 Zafar worked for NM Rothschild, gaining wide-ranging experience in a range of sectors and geographies. Zafar started his career in 1990 at Salomon Brothers. Zafar was educated at Churchill College, Cambridge.

Lady Olga Maitland – Non-Executive Director

Lady Olga was appointed in September 2008. Lady Olga brings significant experience of the global trade and international money transfer industry. She was the CEO of the International Association of Money Transfer Networks (IAMTN) from 2005 to 2008. Lady Olga has been the President of the Algerian British Business Association since 2005 and was a Member of Parliament in the UK between 1992 and 1997.

Vinode Ramgopal – Non-Executive Director

Vinode was appointed in April 2010. Vinode is the CEO and Chairman of Marco Polo Group Limited, a financial services firm focused on global emerging markets. Prior to founding Marco Polo in 2000, Mr. Ramgopal worked at Lehman Brothers, where he was a senior member of the investment banking group, leading the firm’s Global Privatization Group and Emerging Markets M&A practice. Vinode was educated at the London School of Economics and Merton College, Oxford.

Paul Thomas – Chief Commercial Officer

Paul was appointed in January 2011. Prior to Earthport, Paul worked at Fiserv, where he was Managing Director of international operations of its investment services business. Paul has over twenty years’ experience in the financial services software arena. Previously he was the head of sales and marketing at Broadridge (previously ADP Wilco). In 1992, Paul jointly founded Iceberg Software, a developer of trading systems.

Terence Williams – Non-Executive Director

Terry was appointed in November 2010. Terry is currently Chairman of Calastone, a cross-border transaction network for the mutual funds industry. From 2002 to 2008 Terry was Chairman of Coexis Limited. Terry founded Wilco, the computer services company which developed the ‘Gloss’ trading and settlement system. In 1995, Wilco was acquired by ADP Inc.
